Falling Roof kills 4 sheep

The Fire Brigade was called on Sunday afternoon to Vicarage Farm, Church Lane to assist with a barn roof that had collapsed with the weight of snow on it.

A number of sheep were trapped underneath and sadly 4 died as a result.

In total, five pumps from Dereham, Fakenham, Reepham and Earlham (Norwich) and three Urban Search and Rescue Units attended, along with assorted other support vehicles.  The USR teams shored-up the barn and made it safe before withdrawing at around 22:30.  

Thanks must be given to the Fire Brigade for the speeedy way they responded in such poor conditions.
