The December Bingo in aid of the Institute raised £220 for Hall funds. Thank you to all who supported us.
I would like to thank everyone who has taken the trouble to contact me to say how sorry they were to hear I have retired from the Parish Council for health reasons.
It was reassuring to realise that so many people had appreciated and followed the journey of the Parish Council during my many years of service and long spell as Chairman. I would also like to thank all councillors and clerks I have served with over the years for their commitment and support through the good times and not so good times.
Having been afforded the opportunity of playing a part in providing some wonderful facilities and amenities for the parish it is fitting to finish my journey working with Norman Lowe and Bob Fletcher in instigating and completing the installation of the new Village Sign. The erection of the original sign coincided with my marriage at St Mary's Church in 1973 and its replacement was unveiled by our most senior councillor Eva Marsh in my last week on the Parish Council.
I very much appreciate all the kind comments and trust present and future custodians of the Parish will continue the great work of all the councillors who retired earlier this year namely Caroline Payne, Reg Neve, Robin Don, Colin Smith and Anne Ketteringham - their contribution has been immense.
Happy New Year to you all.

NORTH ELMHAM ART GROUP would like to thank everyone who came and supported the Coffee Morning for the East Anglian Air Ambulance. We raised £406 on the day and with a £100 donation, we were able to send them £506.
Many thanks again to everyone
Muriel.
"I would like to convey my thanks to my fellow councillors and clerk who presented me with a beautiful bouquet and shopping voucher on my retirement from the Council, this was very much appreciated, the flowers are wonderful and I will have no problem spending the voucher!I would like to take this opportunity to wish our new Parish Council all the best ."

Many thanks, Sue Todd.
Ed's note: Thank you to Sue for being so informative about her condition. So often when one doesn't know about someone's illness, people shy away from contact and feel they don't like to ask.
Eileen Wareing and family wish to thank all the friends and neighbours in the village who were so supportive during Bill Wareing's illness and after his sad death on the 9th October. This was very much appreciated.
