Open Public Meeting of the Community Plan Action Group

It hardly seems 3 months since our first OPEN meeting when a good number of villagers came up to the Institute to see what was going on.  Since then and despite the Christmas festivities, quite a lot of background work has been done and a couple of new sections of interest are being tackled.
So far, there are working groups on Footpaths and Open Spaces, Amenities (i.e. Eastgate Centre, Memorial Hall, Pavilion), Clubs and Societies.  The Local Government group have already simplified and improved the way the Parish Council accounts are presented, and work is being done on finding out how to offer day/evening classes in the village.  Investigation is being carried out to see how to improve access from the village for the Allotments.  More people are required to help with the Traffic Management Group and hopefully some volunteers will come forward soon.  Sustainable Energy is also another topic which has created interest and that group has just started work.

The purchase of the Village Green can go ahead.

The format of the evening will allow for more time for questions and open discussion but it needs YOU to come along and add your comments and thoughts.
