New Parish Councillor

In January, Merryn Walters was co-opted as a Parish Councillor to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Colin Groom. I asked her to give us a brief sketch of who she is and what she expects.

"Our Parish Council does some great work. It's a real privilege to be part of that team, because I'm excited about any opportunity that encourages us to work together and look after the community we live in. Having moved into Eastgate Street almost a year ago, I've already been involved in a number of village events and projects - such as the community smallholding.
