Elmham Church Fete 2010

Well, that ended up a bit wet didn't it!

The morning and lunchtime were always looking a bit threatening, especially after the 3:00am thunderstorm, but it was not too bad come the start of the event.

After 25 minutes of wandering round photographing people enjoying themselves the sky really started to darken just before Jim Well's Police Dog demonstration with Razor (his new pup looks nice as well). During the demo the first flashes of lightening and claps of thunder appeared and gradually it became more like a scene from Valhalla than June in Norfolk.

The Fun Dog Show judging was next and after a few minutes the heavens opened with a vengeance, I am not sure that fun was really the right description as the judging kept on going, and the entrants kept on getting wetter and wetter - but still the kept turning up for the next class when it was called - dedication or mad dogs and Englishmen I am not really sure.

Amazingly enough, everyone still seemed to enjoy it, there seemed to be a sort of blitz spirit about as every one was crammed into the tents (minus those who caught the bus home), the final irony was the weather improve as things were finishing and to add insult to injury the sun tried to come out as I was walking home! -
