17. Long Walk to Freedom by Val Fisher
Before Nelson Mandela's presidency of South Africa (1994 to 1999), he was an anti-apartheid activist. This led to his arrest in 1962 and he was sentenced to life in prison. After serving 27 years, many of these on Robben Island, he was freed and was able to enjoy again the beautiful flora and fauna of his country.
