Right on time at 2:30 Mark, Warren and myself turned up at Union Farm, Gressenhall not knowing how difficult a time was in store.
The farm staff had removed the bullocks from their mothers
just as we arrived (although they really didn't want to be parted), however after paperwork and phone calls to DEFRA the trailer was backed up to the gate and the laoding job began.
We needen't have worried at all, the whole process took only about a couple of minutes to everyones surprise and the Land Rover and trailer were on their way back to their new home on Old Hall meadows.
Unloading was even easier than loading and the trio began a couple of circuits investigation of their new surroundings, at which point they seemed to have almost completely accepted the change, their only reservation seeming to be Warren's dogs of which they were determined to keep an eye.
Friday sometime, the next litter of pigs arrive, so we will keep you posted.
