Playgroup August
Last month was a very eventful time for Playgroup before the start of the summer break.
Youngsters and parents enjoyed a fun packed Family Fun Afternoon with lots going on including: face painting, tombola, raffle, lucky dip, cake stall, barbeque, bar and refreshments, name the teddy and lots of play. There was something for everyone to enjoy and we managed to raise a very encouraging sum for Playgroup funds. Thanks to everyone involved, the turnout for this event was great - our biggest social event of the year and the rain kept away! Early signs look like profits around £420.
The rising 5's have also experienced a "Move Up Day" at Big School ready for the new September term. This proved to be a great familiarisation day and looking forward to starting school are:

who are joining different local schools.
All the above leavers enjoyed a farewell party at Playgroup on the last week of term.
Sadly for Playgroup we also said goodbye to Louise Parfitt our Deputy Supervisor who will be taking a position within North Elmham School in September and therefore leaving Playgroup. Louise will be greatly missed but we know the School are gaining a brilliant new member of staff and we wish her well in her new role.
Advance Warning - we will be on the search for new Committee Members, please step forward if you can. We want to continue to offer a team with a wide range of experience to support the staff and take great pride in our local Playgroup which has earned a great reputation over recent years, it would be sad to lose this.
With Playgroup out for summer it means lots will be going on behind the scenes including a Maintenance Day to put sparkle and shine back into the building. If you can come along on and lend a hand on Friday 4th September, please do join us from around 9.30am.
Playschool re-opens on Monday 7th September.
